Susan Zeitlin was a social worker and a matchmaker, making more than 15 marriages. She grew up in Brooklyn on Ocean Parkway and moved to Monsey with her husband, Dr. Earl Zeitlin and their two sons, Gary, who would also become a doctor, and Alan who would grow up to have a big mouth and be a teacher and journalist.

Susan taught that people should always have enough food, never be lonely and find their beshert.
